2015 02 00 FairDay

Defence Force Recruiting and DEFGLIS will be at Fair Day in Sydney on Sunday 19 February to answer questions from LGBTI job-seekers about a future career in Defence.

Fair Day is an important part of the Mardi Gras festival that celebrates sexual orientation, gender identity and intersex people, and showcases the vibrant Sydney LGBTI community.

This year the event has moved to a new location - Camperdown Memorial Rest Park in Newtown.

Fair Day is a day for the LGBTI community to celebrate the diversity and inclusion that helps to create the rich tapestry that is Australian society.

2017 will be the third year that Defence Force Recruiting has sought to engage with talented LGBTI job-seekers, highlighting the evolving culture in Defence and the broad opportunities that are available for employment.

For those thinking about a career in Defence, experienced Defence Force Recruiting staff will answer all of your specific questions that you might have and can talk to you about the recruiting process.

DEFGLIS will have a number of our members volunteering throughout the day, who can share their individual experiences of working within Defence.

DEFGLIS and Defence Force Recruiting will be amongst other government agencies at the annual Fair Day including Police, Fire, Ambulance and State Emergency Services.
