Peyton is a gender-fluid sailor in the Royal Australian Navy, where they have built a strong foundation of service and dedication to their country. Passionate about both their work and their community, Peyton has also been an active member of DEFGLIS, volunteering their time to help organise and support various events that promote inclusivity.

In 2024, Peyton was co-opted onto the DEFGLIS board and later elected to the board in 2024, where they quickly discovered a particular passion for connecting with and supporting DEFGLIS members through social media. With a focus on communication and engagement, Peyton works to ensure that the voices of LGBTQIA+ service members and veterans are heard.

Outside of their military career, Peyton believes in creating a supportive and inclusive environment that allows all service members, regardless of their gender identity or sexual orientation, to thrive. Whether through direct involvement with DEFGLIS or by supporting their peers within the ADF, Peyton strives to make a tangible impact on the lives of LGBTQIA+ service personnel and veterans.
